Raymond is Director of Merchant Services providing market insight and analysis interactions on consumer payments related issues within the retail sector. Key topics covered in this advisory service include the payment acceptance ecosystem, e-commerce and mobile payments, point-of-sale solutions, fraud management, and a variety of trending retail vertical markets.
Raymond was previously Associate Director of Research Services at Mercator. He has written on a variety of merchant related payments topics publishing research and analysis reports that are the basis for an extensive archive for the Merchant Services practice. Prior to Mercator, Raymond was founder and Managing Director, Market Research & Analysis, at Lexington Research Group for 20 years, specializing in market strategy and competitive intelligence for corporate decision-makers. His previous roles include Strategic Planning Manager at Honeywell Information Systems. He has delivered consultative work across a variety of industries including financial services, technology, retail, consumer products, and private equity groups. He has been a speaker and moderated panels at industry trade shows and conferences, and has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell School of Business.
Raymond earned an MBA at the Boston College Graduate School of Management as well as an undergraduate degree in economics from Syracuse University.
